Going for the Empress ending this time, I think it’s the most fitting for the canon. Yes, he is still kind of a douche in Witcher 3 but you can almost like him at some points, plus he is (arguably) the best option for the war outcome (in the game). If you consider all the characters, there are lots of endings to The Witcher 3, but we’re primarily worried about Ciri and the main endings of the game. Some players are fine with Geralt picking Tris and helping Ciri become a Witcher. During the game, by picking various dialogue options - not always consciously - you decide of her fate.
Every other possible course of action might possibly be canon, and some people above make convincing arguments for most of them.
